Zandy Boyce Obituary

Mrs. Zandy (Faye) Jefferies Boyce, peacefully transitioned to her heavenly home while at her
residence, on Tuesday, January 9, 2024.

Zandy was born on May 18, 1938 in Cherokee County, South Carolina, to the now late Earl Jefferies
and Teadie Macomson Jefferies. Zandy has been a resident of High Point for over seventy years.
Driven by her love of working with children, she co-founded Kid Appeal Learning Center.
Volunteering at High Point Regional Hospital brought her a sense of pride, highlighting her
commitment to community service. She served multiple roles at Gethsemane Baptist Church,
including usher, missionary, choir advisor, and various other positions.

In addition to her parents, Zandy was preceded in death by her loving husband, Horace Boyce Jr., brother, Ralph Jefferies,
sisters, Jennette Rodgers and Annette Bosley, and her grandson, Jeffery Boyce.

Left to cherish her fond memories are her three sons, Timothy H. Boyce, Jeffery L. Boyce, and Sean C. Boyce
(Angie), all of High Point; two daughters, Cynthia Boyce Steed and Angela Boyce Davis (Bruce)
both of High Point; twelve grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren, and one great great
grandchild. She has one surviving brother, Henry E. Jefferies (Betty Ann) of High Point, and
seven surviving sisters, LuRetta Smith (Donald) of Texas, Sharon Mock, Janice Tillery, Zelda
Washington, Inez Reese (Jeff), April Washington all of High Point and Dorsina Lee of Columbia,
South Carolina. Also surviving is one brother-in law, Pete Boyce (Bonnie) of High Point, six
sisters-in-law, Creola Horne of High Point, Mattie Hubbard of California, Johnnie Dale of
Rockville, Maryland, Doris Jefferies of Gaffney, South Carolina, and Ann Boyce of New Jersey.
She also has three Godchildren, Nicole Cason, Andrea Garrison, and Latashia Strickland, a
special friend Thelma Stanley; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

 

A Celebration of Life will take place on Monday, January 15, 2024, at Gethsemane Baptist Church, 401 Wise Street, High Point, North Carolina.  The family will receive visitors and friends from 11am to 12 noon at the church and the service will begin at 12 noon.  Burial will follow at Carolina Biblical Gardens, Jamestown.
