William Hamilton Obituary

William Melvin Hamilton, 21, of Jamestown, North Carolina, passed away Thursday, July 11,2024. Born on August 20, 2002, William was a bright and talented artist with a passion for music and the creative arts.  He graduated from Daegu Middle High School and prepared to continue his academic pursuits in music and the recording arts.

William’s love of music was evident in the songs he produced and resonated with many who enjoy Hip-Hop.  He planned to pursue a bachelor's degree in music/recording arts and technology at Elizabeth City State University. His music and creative drawing talents inspired and uplifted those around him.  William was also a world traveler having had the opportunity to live in different countries and learn new cultures.  He was a member of the Boy Scouts of America (Eagle rank), Top Teens of America, a volunteer with the American Red Cross, a member of ECSU’s ROTC, and a member of ESCU’s royal court as “Mr. Freshman 2020”.  William also loved sports, movies, and always a good laugh.  Beyond his interests, William will be remembered for his infectious smile, relentless energy, and his ability to brighten any room.

He is survived by his loving parents, Tanya Graves-Hamilton and Darryl Hamilton; his brothers Gary Lynn Barnes, Houston Barnes, aunts, uncles, and cousins who cherished him dearly.

A celebration of William’s life will be held on Saturday, July 20, 2024, at 12:00PM at his family home in Jamestown. In lieu of flowers, please consider a contribution to educate and support suicide loss survivors at: https://everloved.com/life-of/william-melvin-hamilton/donate
