Tevin Christopher Johnson, 29, transitioned to be with the Lord on July 6, 2023, in Greensboro, NC. Tevin was born on November 16, 1993, to Tameria Johnson and Quashaun Jackson in Greensboro, NC.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Natava Currie; grandmother, Carolyn Brockington; cousin, Morgan Jackson; and great aunt, Sara Bostic.
Tevin graduated from Southeast Guilford High School Class of 2012. While attending Southeast, Tevin was an outstanding basketball player. He ranked in the top 45 in North Carolina for Stat 1, Top 10 division 4A for Stat 1, and top 2 in 4a conference 8 for 1 stat.
Tevin “TLove,” as most friends called him, was a very loving young man with a humble heart. He loved to make jokes and laugh, always clowning, especially with his brothers and sisters. Tevin, being the oldest, was very protective of them all.
Tevin is survived by his mother, Tameria Johnson of Greensboro, NC; father, Quashaun Jackson of High Point, NC; sisters, Taylor Johnson of High Point, NC and JKhyia Johnson of Greensboro, NC; brothers, Ravon Jones of High Point, NC; Juwuan Campbell of High Point, NC and Jakhari Lee of High Point, NC; grandmother, Sherry Tucker (Rick) of Greensboro, NC; grandfather, Prentiss Brockington (Tina) of High Point, NC; aunts, Candace Brockington of Greensboro, NC and Brandi Davis of High Point, NC; uncles, Tracy Moore of Greensboro, NC and Chance Brockington of High Point, NC; great grandmother, whom he cared for dearly, Sarah Smith of Greensboro, NC and Mary Brown of High Point, NC. A host of other aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Monday, July 24, 2023, at William Memorial CME Church, 3400 Triangle Lake Road, High Point, NC. The family will receive visitors and friends at the church from 12:30pm to 1:00pm, and the service will begin at 1:00pm.
