Mr. Teddy Easterling, Jr., passed away on Thursday, September 18, 2025. He was born on July 20, 1966, to the late Teddy Easterling, Sr., and Mandelle Plato Easterling in Bennettsville, SC.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Takeyia Easterling; his son, Teddy Isaiah Easterling III; grandsons Quadarrius Henderson and Derrick McKellar Jr.; bonus son James B. Murray; granddaughter Nova Habersham; nephew Xavier Smith; adopted father and uncle Daniel Plato Sr.; special friend Robert William; as well as other nephews and cousins.

Teddy graduated from Bennettsville Senior High School and worked as a Travel Welder for both Nucor Steel Company and Southern Erectors. Known for his warm and approachable nature, Teddy had a unique ability to connect with people from all walks of life. He was friendly and outgoing, never meeting a stranger. Above all, he was generous and kind-hearted, always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing and working on anything that had a motor. He eagerly anticipated his favorite holidays: Thanksgiving, when he would deep-fry his turkey, and Christmas, which he adored for the lights and decorations. He loved decorating so much that he would even decorate others if he could. Teddy also looked forward to the 4th of July, enjoying both watching and setting off fireworks. He cherished spending time outdoors with his boys, working, and grilling. Teddy was a fan of old-school music and loved dancing. He also took pleasure in doing his daughter's hair. Quality time spent with his beloved wife, Donna, as well as with family and friends, was very important to him. With unwavering loyalty, he cheered on the Dallas Cowboys, proudly displaying his fanhood in spirited debates and game-day gatherings,

Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Donna Easterling, and their daughter, Shania Habersham (Darnell), both of whom reside at home; Teneisha Easterling of Bennettsville, SC and Elainey Johnson of McColl, SC; son, TJ  Easterling of the home, Teddy Raheim Hodge of Myrtle Beach, SC and Dylan  Johnson of McColl, SC; bonus mom, Corbell Hicks Plato of Bennettsville, SC; grandchildren, Sanaa Hodge, Vernon hall, Sir'Royal Hodge, Jehkemba Jessup and Niyla Habersham; siblings, Sheryl Poe (Jerry) Chaucey Breeden (Troy), Stacey Esterling, Daniel Plato, Jr., all of Bennettsville, SC; Deborah Wright (Alton) of Fayetteville, NC; Terry Easterling of Rockingham, NC; Stephanie Easterling of Florence, SC; Lashawn Page (Eric) of Clio, SC; Andre Easterling of New York; Karen Atkinson (Kimion) and Chiquetta Plato Thomas (Brian) both of High Point, NC; Felicia Easterling and Teddy G.
