Tacuma Abayomi Cave departed this life on May 7, 2024, at his residence. A native and resident of Rockingham County for the majority of his life, he was a graduate of Wade Hampton High School, Class of 1999, employed by Powell Distribution Center, and a member of Elm Grove Baptist Church.
During his leisure, he enjoyed spending time with his son and family. He also enjoyed traveling.
His grandparents, Sam Cave, Jr., Rev. Freeman Cobb, Jr., Lilia Blackwell Wilkerson and Thomas Jasper Wilkerson; aunt, Desiree Cave Millner; uncle, Sam Cave, III, preceded him in death.
Survivors are: son, Kamar Cave; beloved mother, Sonja Cave; father, Henry “Smiley” Wilkerson; grandmother, Hattie Lou Parker Cobb; brother, Omar Wilkerson; aunts, Eva Fox, Elsie Hall and Patricia Richardson; uncles, Byron Millner, Sr. (The Late Desiree Millner), Thomas Wilkerson and Henry Louis Wilkerson; great-aunts, Mable Simms (Rev. David), Elsie Parker and Myrene Parker; special cousins, Chantay Parker and Marcus Simms; devoted friend, Shareka Paylor; a host of other special relatives and friends.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Sunday, May 19, 2024, at 1:30 p.m. at Elm Grove Baptist Church, 1302 US 29 Bus, Reidsville, NC. Dr. Kenneth Moore will preside. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 1:30 p.m. at the church on Sunday and burial will follow at the church cemetery.
