Roy McKinley Grant, Jr.

Roy McKinley Grant, Jr., a resident of High Point made his transition on Tuesday, November 10, 2020.  Roy was born on June 19, 1973 to Georgia Anne Daniels Grant and Roy M. Grant, Sr. in Jersey City, New Jersey.

Roy was employed at Graphic Dimensions for fifteen years.  He considered his coworkers a part of his family.  Aside from being hardworking and dedicated, he was simply a sweet and caring person.  He was always willing to extend a helping hand.  He was a loving mate, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and great friend.  Let’s not forget that he was also a diehard fan of the Chicago Bears and the New York Yankees.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Morey Grant (aka Jaz).

Roy is survived by his sister, Jacqueline Grant; fiance’, Barbara Coar; children, Georgia Coar Grant, Roy Coar Grant, III, Chyna Coar Grant; Justin Coar Grant and Jahnaya Coar Grant; grandchildren, Brielle and Liam Dawkins; nephew, Johnathan McKinley Grant; nieces, Crystal Grant and Kashmira Grant Rorie; aunt, Anne Avery; cousins, Robbie Grant, Temika Streater Daniels, great cousin, Ana Streater Daniels; step children, Jihad McKoy, Deheavenly McKoy, and DeAsia McKoy; dear friends, Reese Taylor, Angela Taylor and Evelyn Davis; a host of other great nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

A private service will take place on Sunday at the Chapel of Johnson and Sons Funeral Home, 206 Fourth Street.
