The Monger, Morris, and Sawyer families announce with deepest regret, the sudden home-going of Rose Beatrix Monger Gray, our beloved and exceptional mother, grand-mother, aunt, and cousin in her 81st year.  This event took place at her residence in Archdale, NC. She is survived by her children Russell DeShield (Famatta), Jimmy Brooks (Rosetta), and Nora Munford (Fred), and her grandchildren Keesha, Gleneda, Michael, and Kristen. She is also survived by her nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of other relatives and friends in the United States and Liberia.

She was predeceased by her husband Leonard Gray and her son Michael DeShield.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2019 at St. Mary's United Methodist Church, 5583 Rockford Drive, Trinity, N.C.  Pastor Tamara Ingram will be officiating. The family will receive visitors and friends from 10:00a.m. to 11:00 a.m. The service will start at 11:00.  Burial will follow at the Trinity Community Cemetery.
