Ronald Terry Obituary

Mr. Ronald Theodore Terry passed away on Friday, November 28, 2025. He was born in West End, North Carolina, on January 12, 1953, to the late Theodore Terry and Colleen Kiniel Terry.

Ronald attended the Guilford County Schools and dedicated over 30 years of his career to the Atrium on Main Exhibition and Trade Center, where he served as a supervisor. His work was diverse; he was involved in everything from organizing furniture setups for events to driving trucks. Ronald also painted and took on various tasks as needed, demonstrating his adaptability and strong work ethic. In addition to his long tenure at the Atrium, he also worked for Kagen and Market Square during the High Point Market. Ronald was a devoted and active member of Temple Memorial Baptist Church.

Affectionately known as "Feathers" or "Dog" by his family and close friends, he had a vibrant personality that made him truly unforgettable. He was a genuine people person who never met a stranger; anyone who crossed his path was sure to remember him, leaving an indelible impression. He had an extraordinary talent for striking up conversations, creating a welcoming atmosphere wherever he went. He loved spending quality time with his family, especially cherishing meals during family gatherings. In his leisure time, he enjoyed fishing, dancing, and working on cars.  

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Teresa Foust; one sister, Lisa Ann Quick, and seven brothers, Anthony Terry, Farlama Terry, Larry Alston, Harry Alston, Henry Kiniel, William Cheek, and Eddie Caple.

Left to cherish his memories are his son, Ronald Devon Terry of the home; six grandchildren; two sisters, Trumela Crawford (Keith) of Thomasville, NC, and Gwendolyn Bennett (Raymond) of High Point, NC; two brothers, Edward W. Terry of Rockingham, NC, and Thunnell Bowden of Greensboro, NC; one brother-in-law, Lorenzo Quick of High Point, NC; one aunt, Lorriane Williams of Southern Pines, NC; a special friend, Bernice Bennett of High Point, NC; a close friend who was like as a brother, Montique Jason Wilhite and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, church family and friends.

A Service Celebrating the Life of Mr. Terry will be given on Friday, December 5, 2025, at Temple Memorial Baptist Church, 1458 Cedrow Dr., High Point, North Carolina.  The family will receive visitors and friends from 12 noon to 12:30 pm, with the service starting at 12:30 pm.  A burial will follow at GuilRand Memorial Park Cemetery.
