Roberto Ortega Obituary

Reidsville  On the morning of Tuesday, September 10, 2024, Apostle Roberto Ortega transitioned from earth to receive his heavenly reward, the Crown of Life, which the Lord hath promised to those that love Him.  Apostle Ortega dedicated his life to the Kingdom and he strived to please the Lord in every way he could.

Born on January 14, 1964 in Fayetteville, North Carolina, he was educated in the public schools of Cumberland County and pursued further education in Theology.  God called our beloved into the life of a long and illustrious career in Christian Ministry.  Apostle Ortega loved his new challenge and became very astute in his knowledge of the Bible.  He was the former Media Director for Trinity Holy Tabernacle Church and was the present Media Director for Cornerstone Christian Center.  After 20 years of preaching and teaching, he was consecrated Apostle in the Lord Church.

Being an industrious and assiduous person.  Apostle Ortega engaged in many paths of vocation and community involvement.  He was a present employee of L. T. Apparel of Brown Summit, former employee of Bass Robes of Greensboro, Johnson & Sons Funeral Home and worked with Apostle Stanley Milton.  As a dedicated and committed worker, he persevered through illness and labored until he was unable to attend.  As a respected civic minded person, he actively participated with the Reidsville Ministerial Alliance and the Reidsville Police Citizens Academy.

Because of his true love for mankind, he was adored by all who knew him.  He was a loving husband and father, a devoted grandfather, brother and friend.  We thank God for his legacy of love, humility, sincerity and loyalty.  The foundation of our souls has been developed upon the path you have paved for the Kingdom of God.   Glory,  To The Father!

His daughter, Sharice Ortega; father-in-law, Bishop Alphonse Nicholson, sisters-in-law, Rose Nicholson Rudd, Vernice Nicholson Small and Cheryl Nicholson Wheeler preceded him in death.
