Robert Ralph Gathewright

Robert Ralph Gathewright, 83, passed away on June 19, 2024.  He was born on February 28, 1941, in Reidsville, North Carolina to George L. Gathewright and Mattie H. Gathewright.

Robert retired from Akzo Nobel where he loved working.  In 1973 he met the love of his life, Irene Miller, they were married on November 11, 1978.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Mildred H. Neal; two brothers, Frank Gathewright (TOOT), and Jessie Gathewright.

Surviving relatives include his loving wife, Irene Gathewright; a son, Ralph Graham; two daughters, Michelle Miller and Marsha Terry (Steve, Sr.); five grandchildren, Michael Miller, Myniah Miller, Maneika Miller, Marquita Terry and Stevie Terry, Jr.; great granddaughter, Miyanah Miller; in-laws, Karen L. Davis, Nathaniel Bowens, Mary Williams, Annie Whitted, many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

A Celebration of Life Service will take place on Saturday, June 29, 2024, at Clifton Grove Baptist Church, 3918 Abbotts Creek Church Rd., Kernersville, North Carolina.  The family will receive visitors and friends at the church from 11:00 to 11:30am and the service will begin at 11 0'clock am.  Burial will follow at Carolina Biblical Gardens, Jamestown.
