Reidsville – Mrs. Patricia Dale Stokes Hilderbrand departed this life on Monday, June 3, 2024.
As a native and lifelong resident of Rockingham County, North Carolina, she attended the local public schools and was a former employee of McDonald’s. Spiritually, she was a former member of Benaja Mount Zion Holiness Church of God and was an avid Dallas Cowboy football fan. During her leisure, she enjoyed dancing, fishing, going to the casino and playing bingo. Her parents, Helen Stephens Stokes and Frank Lawrence Stokes; siblings, Frank Junior Stokes, Willie Edward Stokes, Jerry Anthony Stokes, Mary Lane James and Larry Donnell Stokes, preceded her in death. Survivors are: a loving husband of 21 years, Lester Thomas Hilderbrand; siblings, Joanne Stokes, Myra Stokes and Gary Wayne Stokes; sisters-in-law, Louvenia Stubblefield, Clara Williams (Elder Alexander), Addie Graves, Mary "Liz" Stokes and Phyllis Thomas; special friends, China and Angel and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
A Celebration of Life Service will be given 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 13, 2024 from the Cornerstone Christian Center, 516 North Scales Street with Dr. Laverne Womack presiding and Dr. Melvin McLean, Jr., the eulogist. The family visitation will be Thursday from 1:30 until 2:00 p.m. at the church. Burial will follow in Greenview Cemetery. Public viewing will be Wednesday afternoon from 2 until 6 p.m. at Cornerstone Christian Center, 516 North Scales Street. Johnson & Sons of High Point, NC is serving the family.
