It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Reverend Leroy McIntyre (High Point, NC) on Sunday, January 30, 2022, at the age of 77. He passed away at Camden Health and Rehabilitation Nursing Home. He was born on February 27, 1944, in Maxton, North Carolina, the son of Mr. Ernest Manning & Mrs. Flora Jane McIntyre Manning.
Reverend McIntyre owned several businesses and rental properties. For over 30 years, he was a Pastor, last overseeing The New Beginning Teaching Ministry.
He was preceded in death by his parents Ernest Manning & Flora Jane Manning; his siblings, Lendo Bethea, Linwood Manning, Margaret Miles, Sophronia Williams, Arlita Davis, Tommie Fleming, Ernest Manning, Willie McIntyre, Charlie McIntyre, LeVester Thomas, Ida Mae Hogue.
He is survived by his Wife, Chanel McIntyre; Daughters, Evangelist Teresa (James) Leggett, Letoria (Brandon) Bell, LeQuita McIntyre, Tenia McIntyre; Sons, Rodney (Donna) McIntyre, Robert (Sheila) Southern, Kevin McIntyre, Terry McIntyre, Pridell (Naquita) McCormick, and Larry (Aprielle) McLean; Brothers, Herman McIntyre, Sam Manning, Herman McIntyre, Johnny (Janie) Manning, Thomas (Dorothy) Manning, Douglas (Darlene) Davis, John (Viola) Davis, and Leo McIntyre; Sisters, Lucinda Briggs, Rosetta Barnes, Katie Moore, Doris (Bill) Greene, Louise (Dean) Davis, and Sarah (Joseph) Davis; twenty-seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, February 5, 2022, 12 noon, at Solid Rock Baptist Church, 903 Kearns Ave., High Point. Interment will follow at Guil-Rand Memorial Park Cemetery in High Point, North Carolina.
