Michael Steele

Michael Leander Steele transitioned peacefully on January 7, 2021. He was the son of Rosa Marie Steele.  He was born and raised in Guilford County.

As a child he was an active member of St. Stephen AME Zion Church.  Michael attended the High Point City Schools, graduated from High Point Central, and later attended UNC Chapel Hill.  He enlisted in the United States Air Force and graduated as a Jet Engine Mechanic.  Michael received an honorable discharge. He was currently employed at the School of Math and Science in Durham, North Carolina.

Left to cherish loving memories is his mother, Rosa Marie Steele; an aunt, Ernestine Williams (Bill); an uncle, Alfred Steele (Queenie) and a host of cousins, love ones and beloved friends.
