Mary Gibson Obituary

Mary Cole Gibson was born February 21, 1935, in High Point, North Carolina.  God called her home on December 18, 2025.  Mary was the oldest of five children born to the late Booker T. and Ida C. Cole.

Mary was married to Walter Gibson, Sr. on June 18, 1955, in Danville Virginia.  She and Walter enjoyed sixty-two wonderful years together.

Mary worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for over forty years.  She loved taking care of the elderly and visiting family and friends when she could.  She was a member of Turners Chapel AME Church where she served faithfully as an usher and sang on the choir.  She loved singing hymns.  She also participated in the singles group after her husband passed.

Mary leaves to cherish loving memories, two children, Michelle Campbell (Terry) of Walkertown, NC and Walter Gibson, Jr. of High Point, NC; three sisters, Magdalene Gibson (Ervin), Shirley Douglas of High Point, and Rhonda Mebane of Greensboro; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
