Marion Jean "NanNoo" Spencer, 85, passed away peacefully on October 22, 2019 surrounded by loved ones at Hospice Home at High Point.
Marion was born in the Florence Community of Guilford County on May 18, 1934 and a William Penn High School alumnus. She treasured time with family and friends and until her health declined, she was an active member of Memorial United Methodist Church. She was a nurturer of faith and loved to prepare delicious meals that she shared graciously. She was strong willed and always willing to speak her mind without hesitation. Mrs. Spencer handled raising five children while her husband (PawPaw) was away long distance truck driving. She always showed a caring heart and will be truly missed.
Mrs. Spencer was preceded in death by her husband, William M. Spencer, Sr. and a daughter, Lynette.
Surviving relatives include her children, Janice (Craig) Davis, William Jr. (Irish), Keith (Janie), Dale, Trent (Stephanie); sister, Kay MacDonald; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and beloved friends.
A Celebration of Life will take place at 11:30a.m., Monday, October 28, 2019 at Memorial United Methodist Church, 1327 Cedrow Drive. The family will receive visitors and friends from 11 to 11:30a.m. at the church. Burial will follow at Greenhill Cemetery.
