Malik Ahmad Peterson

Malik Ahmad Peterson passed away on Saturday, October 23, 2021. He was born in High Point, NC on September 6, 2001, the son of Montrisha Bethea and Dewayne Peterson.

Malik graduated from Andrews High School in 2019. He was a member of High Point Deliverance Church (Greater International Deliverance Ministry) where he was a member of the Dance Ministry. Malik also loved to sing. In his leisure he enjoyed playing computer games and spending quality time with his daughter, Royal. He will be truly missed by his family and friends.

Malik was preceded in death by his maternal great-grandparents, Pearlie Bethea and Lawrence Bethea; paternal great grandmother, Julia Peterson; one uncle, Cornilus Hayes; three great uncles, Ervin Bethea, Leon Peterson and Herbert Townsend.

He leaves to cherish loving memories: one daughter, Royal Denise Peterson; one brother, Xavier Peterson; two sisters, Brooklyn McBee and Dakota McBee; maternal grandparents, Wilbert and Gloria McLaughlin; biological grandparent, Luther Jackson of Riverdale, SC; paternal grandparents; Rita and Troy Peterson, Sr.; seven uncles, Monte Bethea and Tovorris Murphy of High Point, NC; Troy Peterson, Jr., Darnell (Tomeka) Peterson, Shahid Peterson, Malcolm (LaToya) Peterson, Shaquille Peterson; four aunt, Matima Peterson all of Brooklyn, NY; Jevonna Armstrong of Charlotte, NC; Crystal Jackson, Selena Hayes of Riverdale, SC; two special cousins, Sandriel Redmon and Jaquette Green; four special friends, Demarion McBee (DJ), Nasser Thomas, Patrick Thomas and Jasiya McManus, very special friend, Carrie King and a host of great aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

A Service of Love will be given at 12 noon on Saturday, November 6th at Solid Rock Baptist Church, 903 E.  Kearns Street, High Point. Public viewing on Friday, October 5th from 3:00pm-5:00pm. Please adhere to all COVID 19 precautions.  Wear your mask.
