Mable attended High Point City Schools. She was united in Holy Matrimony to the love of her life, James Glover. James and Mable were blessed with nine loving children, who they raised in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.

Mable became the First Lady at the Elm Grove Baptist Church in Reidsville, NC after her husband received his first pastoral assignment. While at Elm Grove, Mable was a member on the Senior Choir, Senior Missionary Society, and the Willing Workers. They served at Elm Grove for seven years. After his passing, she continued her work by serving on the Kitchen Committee, Missionary Ministry, Deaconess Board, Gospel Chorus, and Senior Choir. She was honored as one of the Outstanding Members of the church in 2003. Mable was appointed to the Mothers Board of the church.

Her work career consisted of being employed at Dutch Laundry and Indian Head Hosiery Mill. Mable retired from Hanes Hosiery Mill. After her retirement she continued her love for gardening, working anywhere she was needed in the church, and spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed cooking for her family and friends. One of her most requested dishes was her sweet potato pie.
