Lillie H. Weatherford Galloway transitioned on Thursday, June 26, 2025 surrounded by her loved ones at her residence. She was born on May 30, 1941 in Caswell County, North Carolina, the daughter of Lena and Ollige Weatherford.
Lillie attended Caswell County Training Schools and later worked for many years in the textile industry with Sara Lee. Lillie joined in holy matrimony with Elbert Galloway for 52 years and from this union were born five children. She was a faithful member of High Rock Church where she served as a missionary, choir member, and usher. She remained faithful until her health declined and continued to love God. She love working in the yard, cooking, bowling, sewing, and shopping. Lillie had a huge heart and loved helping people whenever she could.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elbert Galloway, mother, Lena Weatherford, father, Ollige Weatherford; brothers, William, Lee, Percy, John and Walter Weatherford; sisters, Mary Heckstall, Bessie Henderson, Lena Christian, and Carolyn Stubblefield.
She leaves to cherish loving memories five children, Jimmy Weatherford, Robert Galloway, Larry Galloway, Mack Galloway (Annette), and Hazel Turner, all of Reidsville, NC; twelve grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, one great great grandchild; an abundance of nieces and nephews, a host of other family and friends, including best friend, Shirley Blackstock.
