Latoya Monique Conyers

High Point - Ms. Latoya Monique Conyers, 38, passed away on Monday, January 16, 2023.

Our precious songbird, Latoya Monique Conyers was born January 27, 1984 in Harlem, New York. Daughter to Deborah and Franklin Conyers. Latoya was a twin and one of seven children from their union.

Latoya was a Lupus warrior who fought the disease with Fire in her Heart for over 20yrs of her life, but sadly she gained her wings on January 16, 2023, in Greensboro, North Carolina.

She was educated throughout the New York City Education System and was pursuing her college degree in English Literature at Guilford Technical Community College.

 On October 30th, 2009, Latoya birthed her Beloved son Noah Qu'ran Evelyn-Conyers with the late Raheem Evelyn. Her Pride and Joy whom she Loved So Fiercely!

She accepted Christ into her life at her childhood church Salvation & Deliverance where she was also baptized, and later moved to North Carolina where she joined Greater International Deliverance Ministries.

Latoya was an avid reader who adored Stephanie Meyer, J. K. Rowling, and George R. R. Martin. She was also a music aficionado and enjoyed music from various genres. You would not catch her without headphones.

She was the baby girl and the revered brat who loved her family deeply. Latoya laughed and smiled throughout her 38 years, bringing joy, encouragement and happiness to everyone she touched.

Those left to cherish loving memories are her parents, Deborah and Franklin Conyers; her son, Noah Qu'ran Evelyn Conyers; her siblings, Naima Conyers (Abdul), Charlene Conyers, Donell Conyers, Leon  Conyers (Sierra), Lavonia Conyers; her twin brother, Troy Conyers (Norie), Jaylin Conyers, Dedrick Morris and a sister who preceded her in death, Shaquetta Adams; 12 nieces, 12 nephews, 1 grandnephew, a host of aunts and uncles, a wealth of cousins, extended family members, and beloved friends, Moné Franklin, and Chaniqua Cullins.

The family will receive friends Monday, January 23, 2023 from 3:00 pm until 7:00 pm in the chapel of Johnson & Sons Funeral Home, 206 Fourth Street, High Point, NC 27260. Funeral Services will be held at a later date in New York.
