Lae’Quan Tyriq Little departed this life on January 13, 2025. He was born in High Point, North Carolina, on September 15, 1998, to Tamika Little and Rashard Antwan Smarr.

Lae’Quan was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Althea Little, and maternal great-grandfather, Lacy Little.

Lae’Quan graduated from High Point Central High School and attended North Carolina Central University.

Lae’Quan had a quiet demeanor and a humble spirit. He was a kind-hearted person known for his generosity and support for others, always willing to give the shirt off his back if someone needed it. He was a good listener, always ready to lend an ear to anyone in need. Although he sometimes struggled to find the right words to say, he was always there to listen to others' problems. Family meant the world to him, and he cherished family fun days filled with laughter and fun. Lae’Quan adored his daughter, always placing her needs and happiness over everything else.Lae’Quan had a playful personality and an infectious laugh that caused everyone around him to smile and join in the fun. His smile could brighten any room! Whenever he faced something he didn't understand, he would call his mom for advice, and she consistently guided him in the right direction.

Lae’Quan hobbies kept him engaged and fulfilled. He loved nothing more than hitting the basketball court, where he'd challenge his friends to friendly matches, showcasing his quick footwork and impressive shooting skills. Additionally, he had a passion for drawing often, spending hours sketching various subjects.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his mother, Tamika Little (Rondell Evans); his children, Kalaya E’lise Little of High Point and Aubrielle Baskins of St. Louis; brothers: Isaiah T. Little, Jaylin V. Davis and Julian Allred; sisters, Shaddaria Turner, Alexis Davis, Nyla Fordham, Bryanna Peterson, and Makayla Peterson; godmother, Latasha Mills; maternal grandfather: Darrell Crawford, Sr.; paternal grandparents, Alan McNeil and Catherine Timberlake; maternal great-grandmother, Nettie Little; aunts: Kimberly McGill, Lakeasha Little, and Eunika Little; uncles, Adrian Little, Antrail McGill, Darrell Crawford, Jr., and James Timberlake; niece: Zuri Davis; nephew: Carson Little; special cousins, Kentrail Anthony and Davida Chapman other relatives and friends.

A Service of Celebration of his life will take place at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at New Bethel Baptist Church, 1116 Montlieu Avenue, High Point, NC. The family will receive visitors and friends from 11:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The funeral service will begin at 11:30 a.m. A burial will follow at Guil-Rand Memorial Park, High Point, NC.
