Mrs. Kimberly Laverne Culbreth Gordon was born on October 31, 1969, in Trinity, NC. Kimberly was affectionately known as Kim “Rebone” or “Aunt Kim” and was the youngest of eight siblings.
She was preceded in death by her mother, grandparents, two brothers, and three sisters.
Kim graduated from Trinity High School and worked hard at Slane Hosiery Mill for many years. Kim was raised in the faith at St. Mary’s UME Church. She enjoyed singing in the choir, serving as an usher, and participating in various church events. Kim took great pride in her active role in the mime ministry. She was one of the founding members of New Hope Community Fellowship under the leadership of Pastor Lee Bynum.
“Rebone” loved life and celebrated each day with joy. Her hobbies included bowling, playing spades, cooking, softball, and working hard to support her family. Kim enjoyed horseback riding and talking smack.
Kim leaves to cherish her memories: three sons, Brice Mays, Christopher Gaddy, and Michael Gaddy; one daughter, Jasmine Gaddy; nine grandchildren; numerous godchildren, family, and friends who called her “mama.” Five sisters, Deborah (Charles) Barber, Donna (David) Canty, Mona (Charles) Garner, Lisa (Larry) Wall, Sabrina (James) Waters and one brother, Scott (Traci) Smitherman; a devoted aunt, Mae Keeton; special friend, Darnell Farrington and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and loving friends
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, June 20, 2025, at the St. Mary's United Methodist Church, 5583 Rockford Drive, Trinity, NC. The family will receive visitors and friends at the church from 11:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The funeral service will begin at 11:30 a.m.
