Kay Frances (Henderson) Murphy

Kay Frances Murphy, lovingly known as "Ma–Katie", transitioned on Friday, September 27, 2024, surrounded by love at her residence at the age of 86.  Kay was born on January 9, 1938 to the now late, Hubert Henderson and Annie Holloway Henderson.  She was born and raised in Caswell County, North Carolina.

She was a wonderful mother who was always there when we needed her the most; offering support, wisdom and love in abundance.  A friend to many, she leaves behind a legacy of kindness and strength.

Kay Murphy was preceded in death by Annie Henderson (Mother), Hubert Henderson (Father), Alfonza Murphy (Son), Tim Henderson (Brother), James Henderson (Brother), Walter Henderson (Brother), Ellis Henderson (Brother), Doug Henderson (Brother), Herbert Henderson (Brother) and Carolyn Pulliam (Sister).

Left to cherish beautiful memories of her are her children, Andrew (Evon), Jerry, Ardie (Audrey), Donna (Tony), Hubert (Stacey), Virginia (Ricky), and Tarsha (Anthony); siblings, May Alice, Faye, Beverly, and Leon (Gina). She also leaves her 20 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

A Service Celebrating her Life will be given on Friday, October 4, 2024, at Red Hill Missionary Baptist Church, 6038 Park Springs Rd., Pelham, North Carolina.  The family will receive visitors and friends on Friday from 11:30am to 12 0'clock noon.  The service will begin at noon. A burial will follow at the church cemetery.
