Mrs. Kaila Williams McCall transitioned from this earthly life to her eternal home on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at her residence. Kaila was born to the late Carlene Williams and Joyce Hickman on March 4, 1961, in Brooklyn, New York.
Kaila graduated from Brooklyn County Schools. She relocated to North Carolina, where she pursued her studies in Accounting at Guilford Technical Community College in Jamestown, NC. Through dedication and hard work, she successfully earned her associate degree, taking a significant step toward her career aspirations.
Kaila was a dedicated and loyal member of Monument of Praise Ministries under the leadership of Dr. Kevin A. Williams, Pastor. She assisted with administrative duties and excelled at entering membership information into the computer system for financial reporting. Kaila consistently sought opportunities to utilize her administrative skills to provide valuable support to the church.
Kaila was married to Cleveland McCall for 24 years. Throughout their time together, she exemplified the essence of a loving wife, cherished aunt, supportive sister-in-law, and loyal friend. Her warmth and affection extended to all her family members, who knew they could always count on her. Kaila's culinary skills were remarkable; she had a flair for cooking that brought everyone to the table, where she would delight them with her delicious meals and warm hospitality.
She leaves to cherish her memories: her husband, Cleveland McCall of the home; sisters, Sonya (Terry) Shaw of Greenbelt, Maryland; Camelia Richardson of Durham, NC; brother, Kelvin Williams of Washington, DC; step-father, Michael Hickman of Archdale, NC; three brothers-in-law, Johnny McCall of High Point, NC; Ronnie (Jennie) McCall of Virginia and Thurman McCall of Maryland; two sisters-in-law, Delia Harrington of High Point, NC and Betty Livington of Hamlet, NC; three special friends, Flora Howze, Debra (Clarence) Sistrunk and Connie Green; two "play brothers," Mag and Sam and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Monday, May 5, 2025, at 12:30 p.m. at the Monument of Praise Ministries, 321 Oakview Road, High Point, NC. The family will receive visitors and friends from 12:00 p.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the church, and the service will begin at 12:30 p.m.
