Julius Earl Carter, age 83, of Reidsville, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 23, 2025, at the Hospice of Rockingham County. He was born on March 2, 1942, in Virginia to the late Margaret Jones Carter and Thomas E. Carter. Julius lived a life filled with love and passion.
Above all else, Julian was a devoted father, grandfather, and friend who deeply cherished his children and grandchildren. Those who had the privilege of knowing him felt his unwavering love and support. Julius had a vibrant enthusiasm for basketball, western films, and cars that brought joy to his life.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two daughters, Juliette Carter and Crystal Carter, and his siblings, David Carter, Thomas Carter, Louise Ashe Carter, and Alice Carter.
Julius is survived by his beloved children: Wanda Carter James (Nathaniel), Julius Carter Jr. (Tiffany Austin), Cindy Carter, Julian Carter (Adrianna), Julia Carter (Mike), Lawanna Carter (Tim), Sonya Price, Christie Martin (Shawn), and Donald Divine Fountain (Suchi). He is also survived by his brother, Donald Cummings, and a host of other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.
His legacy of love will continue to inspire those he leaves behind.
A Celebration of Life Service will take place on Sunday, April 6, 2025, at the Cornerstone Christian Center, located at 516 N. Scale Street, Reidsville, NC. The service is scheduled to begin at 1:00 PM, with the family receiving friends from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM. There will be a public viewing on Saturday, April 5, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. at the church.
