Born in the early morning of Thanksgiving Day, November 28th, 1990, in Charlotte, North Carolina, and transitioned on July 15, 2025, in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Jordan, also known as “Coogi”, a man who personified the idea of living life to the fullest. A man who was larger than life in stature and in presence, “Abundant” is one of many words that can describe him.
It is no coincidence that his initials spell “JAH”, as Jordan was a believer in God and sought his counsel. One of God’s missions for Jordan was to spread Joy and Love. He traveled through life with many companions, but Joy and Love flanked his path. It was also understood that Jordan was tasked to be a powerful protector. Jordan gifted the world with his radiant smile and infectious laughter through his love of comedy and entertainment. A man of many passions; music, animals, nature, cars, great food, and travel all held special places in his heart.
He was active in his church for many years and remained a mentor to an untold number of people in the community. Ahead of his time and a generous, pure spirit, Jordan was a motivator, innovator, and successful entrepreneur. He often reflected deeply on his life and considered what he could do to grow into the best version of himself. He also studied political and social events and shared his perspective. A proud Eagle and Aggie, Jordan graduated from East Mecklenburg High School and attended North Carolina A&T University.
It is easy to recognize that Jordan was a wonderful son, grandson, nephew, cousin, and community member. Jordan loved deeply, and he adored his family and friends.
Preceded in death by paternal grandmother, Ms. Francis Teague, aunt, Stephanie A Gibson, and uncle Ervin Gibson, Jr.
He leaves to behind to cherish his memories, beloved Mother, Sylvia G. Harris; Father, Leslie A. Harris; His Grandparents, Ervin and Magdalene Gibson. His Uncles, Donald R. Gibson, Min. Christopher A.Gibson (Tiffany), Victor Harris, and Jeffrey Harris. He also leaves behind the sweetness of his heart and the love of his life, Ronni Keyes.
Jordan’s village extends far beyond his city and state. It also includes a large, close-knit family of cousins, neighbors, and friends from everywhere he traveled. Jordan cherished many, so it would be impossible to name all whom he loved and who are tasked with keeping his legacy alive.
Jordan was greatly loved in life and after. Like the ripples from a stone that was tossed into a lake, the impact of his well-lived life is felt far and wide. Heaven has gained a magnificent Angel.
Till we meet again.
To God be the glory.
