Mr. Jeffrey Sevon Siddle was born on January 5, 1981, in Guilford County, North Carolina, to John Henry and Ella Faye (Martin) Siddle. On December 22, 2025, Jeffery peacefully transitioned from this life, leaving behind a legacy of love, faith, music, and unwavering strength.
Jeffrey received his education in Forsyth County, North Carolina, attending Walkertown Elementary School and Carver High School. Born into tradition and Legacy, he was devoted member of the Church of the Living God in Kernersville, North Carolina, where he grew up surrounded by faith, fellowship, and lifelong friendships. The bonds he formed with fellow youth members from the Eastern, Northern, and Southern district became relationships that carried him throughout his life.
Music was woven into Jeffery’s spirit. He had a deep love for gospel music and musical instruments, with the drums holding a special place in his heart. He began singing in the Church of the Living God TOT’s choir as a child and was consistently involved in youth activities. As he grew older, his passion for music flourished, and he became an accomplished drummer for the church. Jeffrey not only played the drums but also took pride in teaching other youth, encouraging them to grow musically and spiritually. His gift led him to play for other churches as well, always using his talent to uplift and inspire others. While he had an interest in learning additional instruments, the drums remained his true passion and greatest joy.
Jeffrey’s favorite scripture was Psalm 30:5, which says,
“Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.”
This verse reflected the way Jeffrey lived his life—with faith through trials and hope beyond hardship. He understood that life brought seasons of struggle, but he believed deeply that joy would always follow. That belief carried him, shaped him, and flowed through everything he did.
His favorite song, “Joy” by James Moore, perfectly echoed that same testimony. The song speaks to finding joy even when circumstances are heavy—a message Jeffrey lived daily. Whether through music, family, faith, or friendship, Jeffrey had a way of lifting others, reminding them that joy is not the absence of pain, but the presence of God. His life was a living rhythm of perseverance, praise, and purpose.
Jeffrey was also known for his love of food and family traditions, often watching his mother in the kitchen and learning to cook alongside her. He cherished time spent with family and friends and found peace and happiness fishing—whether at the lake or along the coast. He also loved to travel and vacation, creating memories filled with laughter, relaxation, and joy.
In 2006, Jeffrey founded J&S Hardwood Floors, proudly serving communities throughout North Carolina. He was a passionate, hardworking man who took pride in his craft and in providing for his family.
Jeffrey leaves to cherish his precious memory his loving wife, Tashina Siddle; his children, Jeremiah, Jailah, and Terrance (TJ); his parents, John Henry and Ella Faye Siddle; his brother, John Orlando (Amber) Siddle; his sister, Tammy Siddle; a special nephew, Jordan (whom he called Ray) Nephew Jacob; Nieces Jasmyne, Anasia, Alayah, and Lilyanna; aunts Minnie Dodd and Martha Hemingway; Uncles William Martin Jr. and Tony Siddle.
He also leaves to mourn his passing his in-laws, Mother-in-Law Patricia Stewart, Brother in laws Johnny Swain, Sr., Johnny Jr. (June) Swain, Jamal Swain, and Dawine Sweet, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, great-nieces, great-nephews, church family, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his Grandparents; William Martin and Willie Mae Martin; His Cousin and Pastor Elder Issac Martin, and Cousin, Bishop Fidel Martin.
Jeffrey will be remembered for his faith, his kindness, his love for music, and the joy he carried—even through life’s hardest moments. His rhythm lives on, his joy remains, and his memory will forever play on the hearts of those who loved him.
A service celebrating the blessed life of Jeffrey will take place at 12:00 PM Friday, January 2, 2026 from the Church of The Living God, 7552 Happy Hill Road, Kernersville, NC 27284. Minister Kevin Foster will deliver the eulogy. The family will receive visitors and friends at the church on Friday starting at 11:00 AM.
