Jasenia Brown

Though your days among us were too brief and our grief at your loss is never-ending, we draw comfort from the knowledge that you have found refuge in the Lord and in our hearts, where no darkness or pain can touch you now. 

Mother Jasenia, the mother of Dolores Mintz (Robert) and Tracy Brown. The grandmother of Brigette and Aaliyah, great grandmother of Tylen, Ava, and baby Nova, due July 23, 2022.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Brown, Jr.
 
Mother Jasenia professed a hope in Christ at an early age and was an active and regular supporter of her church, El Bethel Church of God, Asheboro, NC. She was a reverent woman who loved the Lord and her church family and they loved her. Mother Jasenia, or "J." as we lovingly call her, was a very independent person who would perform any tasks and instilled in her family to follow her example. She loved her family with a gentle, yet stern combination that only she possessed.

Not only is this a loss of a devoted mother, but also a confident counselor and closest of friends. She enjoyed being active with her church family and “hanging out” with friends, Carolyn Morgan, Gladys Reed, and Mary Pratt at their many “movie nights, and family barbeques, and fish fry” at cousin Geraldine’s home with family… she enjoyed simply being around other people…oh she was most happy!  Mother Jasenia was a person who was always available to share an encouraging word and demonstrate strong support. 

Mother Jasenia performed her work on this earth and offered her service to her church, El Bethel Church of God, Asheboro NC, her friends, and any who called upon her for the greater honor and glory of God, unreservedly and in a spirit of humility.

The passing of our beloved Mother Jasenia Brown is Heaven’s Gain.

A Celebration of Life will take place on Tuesday, July 12, 2022 at the Chapel of Johnson and Sons Funeral Home, 206 Fourth Street, High Point.  The family will receive visitors and friends from 12 to 12:30 on Tuesday, and the service will began at 12:30 p.m.
