Ms. Janie McLin, a long-time resident of High Point NC, departed this life on Friday, November 5, 2021 at Wake Forest Baptist Health. She was born on April 15th in Chester, SC to Willie Robert McLin & Etta Chisholm McLin. She was baptized as a Jehovah’s Witness in 1972 & remained faithful to the very end.
Due to her love of people, Janie was known for her cooking. She loved opening her home & having friends & family over to eat that good southern food that made everyone hungry just at the mention of it. There was never a time that she turned down anyone asking for meal no matter the time or day. It was also her love of people that made her so strong in her faith, never missing an opportunity to preach the good news of Jehovah’s Kingdom. She knew without a doubt that the resurrection is a promise & she always talked about how she couldn’t wait to get there to grow her own fresh fruit & vegetables. She was also a lover of music & never missed a chance to get on the dance floor.
Janie was preceded in death by her parents, a beloved sister, Gladys Jordan, and her only niece, Peggy Little.
Left to cherish her memory are her children: Michael McLin of High Point, Adrian Hall of High Point & Felicia Hall-Coleman of the home. In addition to her children, she has five grandchildren: Hyatt Hall & Jayden Coleman of the home & Alexander Hall, LaZaria Covington & Xavier Hall all of High Point. She also leaves behind beloved nephews, Harrison Little, Hamilton Little & Elijah Little-Grayman, along with her great-niece, Brooke Little all of High Point.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 20, 2021 at 3:00 PM via zoom.
