Janice Henderson Green was born on July 3, 1951, in Thomasville, North Carolina, to the now late Ola Mae Walker and Richard Lee Henderson. She was lovingly raised by her paternal grandmother, the late Mrs. Lyda Johnsie Henderson. Her earthly life came to a close on February 9, 2024. She peacefully transitioned at her home in Walkertown, North Carolina, after an extended illness.

She was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church in Thomasville and later attended Stokesdale Church of God, where she led the Hospitality team.
Janice was very crafty. One of her greatest passions was sewing, and often shared her talent with her community and family. She was a loving and protective mother of her two sons, Gerard and Rodney.
In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by a brother, Austin Walker.
She leaves to cherish fond memories her loving husband of 49 years, Willie D. Green; her sons, Gerard (Nikia) Green and Rodney (Audreana) Green; her “Heart and Joy,” and loving granddaughter, Kaelyn Green; sisters: Audrey Wallace, Ann Morris, Faye Smith, and Willie Pickney; brothers, Gregory Henderson (Jessie), Michael Kenan, Michael Walker, and Brucie Walker; a host of in-laws, other relatives, and friends who are deeply saddened by her passing.
