Jamie Parson Obituary

Jamie Brandon Parson, 40, was born on October 8, 1979 to James and Diane Parson of Randleman, North Carolina. Jamie grew up in Randleman in a tight-knit community of family and friends. He graduated from Randleman High School in 1998. Jamie attended Randolph Community College in Asheboro, NC, where he received his HVAC Certification.

Jamie's mother, Diane, began praying over him when he was three months old asking God to bless him with a musical talent. As God answered Diane's prayers, Jame gravitated towards several instruments, including the guitar, drums, and keyboard - finally choosing to play the organ. When he was very young, Jamie would play the keyboard for family Christmas gatherings. Later, he became a member of his school band during the middle and high school years.

In addition to becoming active with music in school, Jamie further developed his passion for music in church. Jamie was reared in the church and began to play the organ during Sunday morning services for Harshaw Grove Baptist Church in Randleman, NC. These early experiences led Jamie to live a life that was devoted to serving The Lord with his musical gifts and talents and ultimately fulfilling his God-given destiny to become a Minister of Music.

Aside from music, as a young child, Jamie also exhibited skill in repairing household items. Jamie would use this skill to follow in the footsteps of his grandfather and great-grandfather by becoming an entrepreneur. Jamie served his community and neighboring cities by providing HVAC services to individuals, families, and businesses for over 15 years.

Jamie received The Lord as his Savior early in life. As demonstration of his commitment to living for Christ, Jamie utilized the gifts God entrusted to him to serve his community whom he loved. Though his life by our standards was short, God used Jamie as a willing vessel to accomplish His mission to love and help one another. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends who will continue to celebrate the life he lived.

In addition to his father, Jamie was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Fredina Parson.

Left to cherish loving memories include his mother, Diane Evans Parson; sister, Wendi Funchess (Arthur); aunts, Mary Evans and Earlene Moore (Kenneth); cousins, Von Nobles (Stephanie), Matthew Moore, and Stephen Moore; godparents, Monroe & Wanda Gaines; godbrother, Quinton Striblin; godsisters, Julia Gaines-Diaz, Carla Bostic, and Krystal Parson; godchildren, Braxton Jones and Chrisitan Pemberton, Jr.; special family friend, Nathan Brooks Greene; other relatives and friends.
