James Arthur Davis

On Thursday, October 9, 2025, James Arthur Davis passed away at the Maple Grove Health and Rehabilitation Center in Greensboro, NC. He was born on July 14, 1958, in Scotland County, to the late Robert Davis Sr. and Annie L. Gray. James was preceded in death by his father and his uncles, Archie Lloyd and Wilson Lloyd.

He worked in the construction industry throughout the Triad region.

He leaves to cherish fond memories his mother, Annie Lloyd; his brother, Robert Davis, Jr; his wife, Pamela Davis; his sons: James Davis, II, and Terrence R. Strickland; and his daughter, Mardina Graham. He will be missed by his grandchildren: Deontae, Jakayla, Kobe, Thalia, Aarinna, and Kehlani; as well as his great-granddaughter, Aasana. He also leaves behind one special niece, Chanel Davis, and one great-niece, Morgan Davis. Special aunts: Delores Thompson, Shirley Johnson, Sarah Thomas, Dorletha Wardlaw, Betty Brant, and one uncle, Bob Lloyd. He is also survived by three sisters-in-law: Carla Smoot, Bridget Thompson, and Rev. Lesa J. Davis. Additionally, he leaves behind a host of cousins, other relatives, and friends who will cherish his memory.

A Memorial Service Celebrating the Life of James Arthur Davis will take place on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at the Chapel of Johnson and Sons Funeral Home, 206 Fourth Street, High Point.  The service will begin at 12 0'clock noon.
