Jacqueline “Jackie” Johnson Roberts, beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on her birthday, August 23, 2025, at the age of 59. She was born on August 23, 1966, in Thomasville, North Carolina, to the late Jesse “Leon” Johnson and Ruby Morrison Johnson.
Jacqueline was preceded in death by her brother, Vernon Cannon, and her sister, Sophia Johnson.
She will be fondly remembered for her love of life’s simple joys. Jacqueline enjoyed playing video games, watching classic cowboy movies, and cheering for her favorite wrestlers. She was a devoted member of Another Chance Ministries, where she faithfully served on the Praise Team and the Usher Board. Her dedication to her church family was a reflection of her faith and her generous spirit.
Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband, Jesse of the home; her nieces, Courtney Christian (Allen) and Imane AbduAzizi; her nephews, Brandon and Tahoe AbduAzizi. She is also survived by her aunts, Dorothy Archie (Jerry) and Peggy Reid; her uncles, Cedric Jones, Ronnie Jones (Janice), Dwight Jones, Tony Carroll (Dorothy), and Larry Carroll; along with a host of cousins, extended family, and friends who will deeply miss her presence.
Jacqueline’s warmth, laughter, and unwavering faith will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
A service celebrating the life of Jacqueline A. Johnson Roberts will be given on Friday, September 5, 2025 at Another Chance Ministries, 104 Ridgecrest Drive, High Point, North Carolina. The family will receive visitors and friends from 12:30 to 1:00pm at the church, and the service will begin at 1:00pm. Burial will follow at Carolina Biblical Gardens, Jamestown. The family will also receive family and friends at the residence; 822 Bowerwood Drive, Thomasville, NC 27360.
