Jaby Wall, 93, transitioned to his heavenly home on Saturday, June 22, 2019 at High Point Medical Center following an extended illness. Jaby was born on December 17, 1925 to Carl Ingram and Prudence Wall in Anson County, North Carolina.
Mr. Wall served honorably with the United States Army, was a Vietnam Vet and a former member of the Greensboro Armed Forces Retiree Club. He was awarded a number of medals including the Bronze Star, Good Conduct (6th Award), Combat Infantryman Badge, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal w/Device 60, and the National Defense Service Medal w/ Oak Leaf Cluster. After retiring from military service he was employed for many years and retired from North State.
A man of faith, Mr. Wall was a faithful member of the Olga Avenue Church of Christ. He cherished the time he spent with family and friends. He also enjoyed traveling, gardening, and building things in his back yard.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Mock Wall; three sons, Jaby Wall, Jr., Purcell Wall and Michael Wall; six brothers, and two sisters.
Surviving relatives include sons, Ralph Wall of Detroit, MI, and Timothy Wall; daughters, Brenda Carraway (Lester) of Thomasville, Pamela Jones, and Sheri Taylor of High Point; sister, Vancie L. Ingram of Anson County; special cousin, Bernice Mayfield of High Point; special niece, Michelle Wall of Philadelphia, PA; a host of grandchildren, great grand, and great great grand; other relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be given at 12:00 noon, Wednesday, June 26th at the Olga Avenue Church of Christ, 1316 Olga Avenue, High Point. Family visitation will be from 11:30 am to 12 noon at the church. Burial will follow with full military honors at Carolina Biblical Gardens.
