Iran Franklin (Frank) Galloway was born September 17, 1940 in Eden, North Carolina and the fifth child of Roosevelt and Ruth Waller Galloway. He attended the public schools of Eden North Carolina and Graduated from “Old” Douglass High School. While attending “Old” Douglass High, Frank was an active member of the Marching Band earning him the #1 Tuba player spot!
In 1967 Frank graduated from Kentucky School of Mortuary Science, Louisville Ky. Prior to entering mortuary school Frank received training at Russell’s Funeral Home Winston Salem. During his school year he also received training at G.C. Williams Funeral Home Louisville Ky.

Frank was also a tremendous help to Perry J. In addition to his work as a Funeral Director he was actively involved in the community in which he lived and worked. He served on the Eden City Hall until his health declined
Frank was an active member and Deacon of Morning star Missionary Baptist Church in Eden NC serving on the Usher Board, Male Chorus and Young Adult Choir
Frank was a member of St. James Lodge #138 in Eden. He received a special award for forty years of continuous service, leadership and dedication. His leadership and dedication was to the Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge Free and Accepted Masons of North Carolina and Jurisdictions., 28th Masonic District
Mr. Franklin Galloway was preceded in death by his wife of forty years Jacquelyn Gravely Galloway; parents Roosevelt and Ruth Galloway; Sisters Queen Anne Walton and Mable Dillard, Brothers James A. and Robert Wilson Galloway
He leaves to cherish his memory, two daughters: Sonya (Collins) Grant of Chesapeake VA; Shirl P. Galloway of Greensboro NC; one granddaughter, Caroline Grant of Chesapeake VA; two brothers; John B. (Mary)Galloway of Wilmington DE; Princes (Pete) Galloway of Eden NC. Special companion, Ms. Abbie Lampkins Axton VA; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins' family members and friends
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, February 1, 2022, at the Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church, Eden, NC. Entombment will follow at the Roselawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Reidsville, NC. The family will receive friends, Monday, January 31, 2022, from 5 until 7:00 PM at Johnson & Sons, Reidsville, NC.
