Mrs. Harlene Lloyd, 75, daughter of the now late Albert and Mary Janie Wright was born July 20, 1944 in High Point, NC. On the evening of March 15, 2020 she transitioned from her earthly home and now she rests in her Master Jesus Christ, her Savior’s loving arms.
Harlene attended William Penn High School. She was a former employee of Fly Back Toy Company, and later worked at Myrtle Desk Furniture until it closed. She then was employed by the Guilford County Schools System at T. Wingate Andrews High School where she was the Lead Custodian until her retirement in 1999. Harlene was a faithful member of Williams Memorial CME Church until her health declined. She served on the Usher Board and the Gospel choir where she made a joyful noise for the Lord. Harlene loved the Lord with all her heart. She was a people person who always put her heart into helping people. She loved eating fried fish, playing spades, and doing cross word puzzles. There was a special place in her heart for her great grandson, Dallas who referred to her as ma-ma.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Ida Mae Lattimore, Maggie Baker, Katie Mae Wright, Ellen Carter; four brothers, Javon Wright, Albert Wright Jr., Clinton Wright, and Baby boy Wright(Died at birth).
She leaves to cherish fond memories, her husband of 35 years, Wilson Lloyd of the home; three daughters, Amanda Quick, Vivian Rivers (Johnny), and Arnetta Scott (Chris); two sons, Mallory Quick, Bernard Lloyd of the home and one step-son, Ronnie Wilson Lloyd of Georgia; twelve grandchildren, Chemicka Marshall, Danielle Marshall, Letitia Quick, Travis Quick of Georgia, Tangi Quick, Remington Scott (Natalie), Darren Scott, Chakira Quick, AshleyYapias (Jesus), Anthony Lloyd, Allen Lloyd, and Bryce Lloyd; nineteen great-grandchildren, Korra-Luna Yapias, Daja Quick, Elijah Quick, Keilah Quick, La’ Lonnie Quick, Dallas Blocker, Zanaii Barnett, Montiey Rhoades, Travon Rhoades, Javontae Rhoades, Javan Quick, Noah Quick, DyQuan Robinson, Zipporah Western, Carlos Rogers, Dyquavion Chatman, Kolonee McRae., Destiny Smith, Zoe Scott, four great-great grandchildren, Namoni Rhoades, Zy’Kaih Western, Kingston Quick, and Hazel Simmons; two sisters, Elizabeth Ezekiel of High Point, NC, and Sharlene Johnson of Harrisburg, PA. as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, godchildren and other relatives and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be given in a private ceremony on Monday, March 23, 2020 at Williams Memorial CME Church. The service will be at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at Carolina Biblical Gardens, Jamestown.
