Franklin Donald Pass

Reidsville –Deacon Franklin Donald Pass departed this life on Saturday, May 24, 2025.  As a native and lifelong resident of Rockingham County, North Carolina, he attended the local public schools. 

Being nurtured by the influences of a Christian family resulted in him becoming a resolute member of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church. Diligently serving for over 70 years, he was a member of the Board of Deacons, Senior and Male Choirs.  Following 44 years of laboring, he retired from the Cone Mills Corporation and farmed during his early years.

During his leisure, he enjoyed gardening, nurturing flowers and loved quartet singing.  Franklin was a loving father, a devoted brother and a kind friend who was adored and respected by all who knew him.  We thank God for his impacting presence and his legacy of love for us all to forever cherish. 

His parents, Ellen Jones Pass and Charlie Jack Pass; beloved wife, Cecelia Lane Pass; siblings, Freddie Lee, Willard L. Pass, Willie L. Pass, Richard Pass, David Leon Pass, Lucinda Pass Millner and Richetta Pass Hatchett, preceded him in death. 

Survivors are: loving son, David L. Pass (Toni); grandchildren, Jakera Pass and David Pass, Jr.; sisters, Rodie A. Johnson and Carrie B. Pass; special friends, Claude Jackson, Johnny Rollins, and Darnell Bolden; other relatives and friends. 

Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 30, 2025 at 2:00 p.m., from the Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, 7236 US Highway 29 Business, Reidsville, NC. Pastor William C. Hairston will deliver words of comfort. Burial will follow in Greenview Cemetery, Reidsville, NC. The family visitation will be Friday from 1:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the church.

Public viewing will take place on Thursday, May 29, 2025 from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., at Elm Grove Baptist Church, 1302 US-29 Business, Reidsville, NC.
