Mr. Frank Delane Dixon, 81, of High Point, North Carolina, peacefully transitioned to his heavenly home at Hospice of the Piedmont.
Frank was born on March 12, 1940, to Richard Brown and Almatine Dixon Jenkins in Blenheim, South Carolina. He lived in Marlboro County and move to High Point, NC. over sixty years ago.
Frank loved his family, The Lord, yard sales, and making everyone laugh. He always had a joke and a huge smile.
Frank worked at Alma Desk and Medal Creation. He was a machinist (he could fix anything) and retired in 2007 and started his own lawn care business.
Frank was a member of Temple Memorial Baptist Church and was a faithful member of the Gospel and Men’s Choirs. He loved to sing.
In addition to his parents, he was proceeded in death by his wife, Betty Jean Dixon; daughters, Myra Wilkes, and Valerie Bridges.
He leaves to cherish fond memories, five sons, Frank Dixon, Jr. (Lisa), James Foster Dixon, Marvin Bridges, Richard Dixon, Telly Bridges (Meikala); four daughters, Lorie Moore, Cathy Hubbard, Debbie Williams, Elaine Horton (Mark); his siblings, Christine Jackson, Alice Brown, Queen Esther Dixon, Barbara Ann Whitworth, David Dixon, James Darnell Dixon, William Brown, Richard Brown (Rose), Henry Malachi (Evelyn), Howard Brown, Katie Pratt, Gertrude Covington, Rosie McDonald, Alice Bridges, Christine Bruce, Sally Jenkins, Ernestine Kings; and a beloved aunt, Ms. Jennie Saunders.
Frank was blessed with 26 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, as well as a host of nieces and nephews who revered him as a father. He loved his family and friends.
A Homegoing Service will be given at 12 noon, on Saturday, October 23rd at Temple Memorial Baptist Church, 1458 Cedrow Drive. Family visitation will be from 11:30 to 12 before the service. Burial will follow at Carolina Biblical Gardens.
