Evelyn (Parson) Holland

It is with great sadness that the family of Evelyn Parson Holland “Dixie Mae” announces her passing after a brief illness, on Monday, January 20, 2020, at the age of 72 years. Dixie will be lovingly remembered by her five children, Wayne (Amy), Dale (Shawanna), Michelle, Alagra and India (Toney), and their loving father Joseph Holland. Dixie will also be lovingly remembered by her twelve grandchildren, Brandon, Bryant, Bradley, Jasmine, Racheal, Latoya, Amir, Rodney Austin, Alaya, Bralynn, Elisia, Aryalyn; her step grandchildren, Ciara and Sarah, her great grandchildren, Jonathan, Connor, Brianna, Omarius, Zaiqwon, Samuel, Malachi, Memphis, Monroe Fayth; by her sisters, Dorothy McDonald (Mickey) and Regina Green. Dixie was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard Parson and Martha Green; her brothers, Albert Mills and Leon Parson. She will also be remembered by a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

A Homegoing Celebration Service in memory of Dixie will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2020 at 2:00 p.m., at the Bethel United Methodist Church, 3229 Old Glenola Rd, Archdale, NC 27263, with Reverend Sandra McNeil officiating. The family will receive visitors and friends from 1pm to 2pm at the church.  Those who so desire may make memorial donations in memory of Dixie to the Bethel United Methodist Church through any immediate family member.
