Eunice Genola (Ross) Boulware

Mrs. Eunice Genola Ross Boulware, 86, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 28, 2021 at Hospice of the Piedmont in High Point, NC.

Eunice was born March 14, 1934 in Clifton Forge, VA to James Oliver Ross Sr. and Rosa B. Heighter Ross. At an early age she joined Main Street Baptist Church in Clifton Forge, VA. She graduated from Jefferson High School. In 1959, Eunice married Robert Boulware in Columbus, OH. She traveled with him while he served in the United States Army and Air Force. The Boulwares decided to make High Point, NC a place they would raise their family and make it their home.

She joined Williams Memorial Christian Methodist Episcopal Church and there she sang in the Senior Choir and attended the Women’s Sunday School class. She worked many years at Guilford County Department of Social Services.

Eunice was truly dedicated to her family. She loved fashion, socializing, cooking, sewing, and catalog shopping. She never met a stranger. Mrs. Boulware was a mother figure to many. Her loving heart always saw the good in everyone.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Boulware; one daughter, Martha Boulware; seven brothers, James O.Jr., Rosamond, Vincent, Everette, Charles, Bernard and Ulysses Ross; one sister, Rhonda Ross Blakeney and her god-daughter, Carrie Oliver.

Those left to cherish fond memories are her sons, Ricky Boulware (Jeannine), and Michael Boulware (Stacey); her daughter, Faith Boulware-Malachi (William); granddaughter, Sherese Boulware-Ingram (Terrence); great-grandsons, James Peak, Jaylen Peak and August Boulware; great-granddaughter, J’nayh Inge; sisters, Maxine Lee, Lamar “Jeanie” Jones and Ethel “Eckie” Thompson (George);special friend/sister, Rose Odom; close friends, Mazella Collins, Anita Cavanough and Mary Gillespie; “adopted” daughter, Tiffany “Baby Girl” Brittian;“adopted” grandson, Kenyon Dockery; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and many good friends.

The family would also like to give special thanks to Tiffany Brittian, Jeanette “Lee” Malachi, Rev. Penny Torrence and Hospice of the Piedmont.

A Graveside Celebration of Life will take place on Friday, February 5, 2021 at Guilford Memorial Park, 6000 W. Gate City Blvd., Greensboro, North Carolina.  Service will began at 12 noon.
