Mrs. Eugenia Brown Chandler was born on July 7, 1963, in High Point, NC, to the late Eugene Reddick Brown and Elizabeth Louise Brown. Eugenia's journey came to a close on November 30, 2024, at Alamance Regional Hospital, leaving behind a legacy of strength, love, and inspiration for all who knew her.
Eugenia graduated from High Point Central High School in High Point, NC. After graduating, she joined the United States Army, where she dedicated herself to serving her country. During her time in the military, she developed her skills and earned the rank of Specialist 4, demonstrating her dedication and skill throughout her service; she completed her military journey with an Honorable Discharge, reflecting her commitment and honorable conduct. Following her military service, Eugenia began her professional career at LabCorp, where she made meaningful contributions. She cherished the close friendship she formed with her special friends Tomika, Cynthia, and Carmen, sharing memories and experiences that enriched her life.
Eugenia met and married Mart Chandler, and they became one on June 19, 2010.
Gena, as she was affectionately known by her family and friends, was a kind and loving person with a heart of gold. She cherished spending quality time with her loved ones and had a passion for decorating. Her favorite color was pink, and she had a special fondness for flamingos.
In addition to her parent, she was preceded in death by her sister, Tabitha Ingram, and a niece, Dominique Butler.
She leaves to cherish her memories her husband, Mark Chandler, of the home; two sisters, Peggy (Albert) of Trinity, NC and Gloria Butler of Asheboro, NC; one brother, Micheal (Naomi) of High Point, NC; two sisters-in-law, Ozella Blue and Linda (James) Brown; brothers-in-law, Johnny (Phyllis) Chandler and Otis (Ruby) Chandler special nephews, Derrick (Shannon) of Carrboro, NC; Micheal Brown of High Point, NC; Alan Butler of High Point, NC; Ian Eugene and Isiah of Kernersville, NC and Glenn Butler of Salisbury, NC; her godson, Nicoli Brown of High Point, NC; nieces, Rachek, Shikineh, Tomica, Honesty and Kryianna; great-niece, Kylie and Sheniah and a host of in-laws, other family members and friends.
A celebration of Life will be given on Monday, December 9, 2024 at the Chapel of Phillip's Funeral Service, 1810 Brockett Ave., High Point, North Carolina. The family will receive visitors and friends at the chapel from 12:30 to 1pm and the service will begin at 1pm.
