Mr. Eugene Bullock, Jr., was born in High Point, North Carolina, on September 26, 1961, to Mrs. Kathleen Bullock. The LORD called him home on June 5, 2025, after a lengthy illness, during which he was cared for by his loving wife of 41 years.
Eugene, affectionately known as “Rabbit” to family and friends, grew up in High Point, where he attended High Point public schools, and graduated from High Point Central in 1979. Shortly after graduation, he married the love of his life, Troy Stanback. Soon afterward, he enlisted in the U.S. Army, serving for nine years and achieving the rank of Sergeant. After completing his military service, Eugene worked as the Logistics Manager for both Morbern USA and Wholesale Textbook Co.
Eugene was a member of New Hope Baptist Church during his youth, but he later joined Williams Memorial CME in High Point, where he remained a faithful member until his health declined. His faith in God was reflected in his family life, where he was a loving husband and father.
Eugene was an avid train enthusiast and enjoyed visiting train yards to watch the locomotives in action. He also enjoyed all types of jazz music. In sports, he was a diehard UNC-Chapel Hill fan, and his favorite professional football team was the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Kathleen Covington, grandmother, Theola Coleman, and great-grandmother, Lizzie Johnson.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his devoted wife, Mrs. Troy Bullock; two sons, Derek of the home and Trent (Sarah) of Cameron, N.C.; two grandsons, Idris and Imani; and one granddaughter, Imarie; two sisters, Barbara Alston (Robert) of Stone Mountain, GA, and Sharon Gillard of High Point, N.C., mother-in-law Flora Stanback of High Point, N.C., three sisters-in-law Loretta Barber of High Point, N.C., Lorraine Stanback of Queens, N.Y. and Mia Ingram of Kernersville, N.C, one brother-in-law Harold Robinson of Trinity, N.C. and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. Special Thanks to his devoted caregiver Tracey Golden.
