Dorothy Stafford Obituary

Mrs. Dorothy Watts Stafford, 95, transitioned on Friday, June 22, 2018 at Hospice Home at High Point.  Dorothy was born on January 15, 1923 to Sadie Tinsley Watts and John Watts in Laurens County, S.C.  After moving to High Point she was educated in the Guilford County School System and was a graduate of William Penn High School.  She also attended Maco Beauty School in Greensboro and later became Owner and Operator of Ideal Beauty Salon that was located on E. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by four children, Sandra Carpenter, Steven C. Stafford, Clarence "Doddy" Stafford, and Lucinda Reynolds; and all but one of her nine siblings.

Surviving relatives include a loving daughter, Ray Ann Johnson; a sister, Elizabeth Ashworth; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be at 11:30am on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at Memorial United Methodist Church, 1327 Cedrow Drive.  Burial will follow at Floral Garden Memorial Park.  Family visitation will be at the church on Saturday, 11 to 11:30am.  It is with great honor that we serve this family.
