Dorothy Monk Obituary

Evangelist Dorothy Leggett Monk, 79, a longtime resident of High Point died at Genesis Healthcare in Siler City, North Carolina. Dorothy was born in Cumberland County, North Carolina to Fletcher and Mary W. Leggett. She was formerly employed with Silver Knit and High Point Regional Hospital. Evangelist Monk was a faithful member of First Pentecostal Church. She loved the Lord and strived to be an obedient servant by visiting the sick and working in the church. She will be deeply missed, and her memory will forever be cherished.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Monk.

A Service of Celebration will be given on Monday, May 17, 2021, at First Pentecostal Church, 4380 US Hwy 64, Asheboro, North Carolina. The service will begin at 12 noon and burial will follow at Carolina Biblical Gardens, Jamestown. Her remains may be viewed at the funeral home on Sunday, May 16th, from 12 to 6pm.
