Donna Easterling Obituary

Mrs. Donna Easterling was born on May 23, 1975, to Janice Hood Smith and the late Johnny Barrineau in Marion, South Carolina. Donna was raised and loved throughout her life by her bonus father, James Pete Smith.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Teddy Easterling Jr., whose love and support were a cornerstone of her life; her granddaughter, Nova Habersham, and her sister, Audrey Locklear.

Donna was a warm and gentle person known for her giving heart and kindness, even in the face of her illness. She loved cooking and made it a priority to ensure that no one went hungry. She was especially famous for her macaroni and cheese and pound cake. She loved the holiday gatherings with family and friends, which filled her with happiness, and she cherished the special moments of Easter and Thanksgiving more than anything.

Donna had a profound love for animals and dreamed of owning a large farm where she could care for and rescue sick animals. She also adored butterflies and redbirds and had a deep passion for lighthouses, She enjoyed all types of music.

Donna enjoyed spending her days with her sweet granddaughter Niaylah. Her world revolved around just Niaylah in her last moments, and every moment was spent with her sweet little pudding.

Left to cherish her memory are: her parents, Janice and James Pete Smith of McColl, SC; four children, Shania (Darnell) Habersham and TJ. Easterling of the home; Dylan Johnson and Elainey Johnson of South Carolina.
