Mr. Demetrius Lennard Brown, Jr., 31, transitioned from this earthly life on Wednesday August 23, 2023, in High Point, NC. He was born on December 17, 1991, to Demetrius Brown and Tammy Smith Talbert.
DJ was born and raised in High Point, NC and graduated from Andrews High School in 2010 with a GPA of 5.6. In 2021, he furthered his education at Forsyth Tech Community College where he graduated with a degree in business administration.
He had an entrepreneurial mindset and was motivated to be his own boss all while attending FTCC. Demetrius was the owner and CEO of E.S.B. ENT, H. R. Luke Lawncare, and H. R. Luke Realty.
DJ was always a family orientated man who always made sure that his family was taken care of. His kids were his pride and joy. DJ had a passion for helping people and he would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. He also loved his friends and wherever he went his actions showed that. Demetrius was always smart in school and well educated. He was pursuing a higher degree majoring in entrepreneurial ship.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Pattie Brown; grandfather, Alphonso Marshall, and son, Demetrius Brown III.
He leaves to cherish his memories a loving and supportive mother, Tammy Smith (Dwight) Talbert, of Lexington, NC; father, Demetrius Brown, of Gibsonville NC; five children, Demetrius Wall, and Kaiden Brown, of Winston Salem, NC, Brielle Brown, and Brooklyn Brown, of Greensboro, NC, and Desire Brown, of High Point, NC; two sisters, Jahquria Smith, of Greensboro, NC, and Jashala Smith, of Charlotte, NC; two brothers, Jabrell Smith, of High Point NC, and Nathaniel Wilson, of High Point, NC; grandmother, Jane Brown, of Lexington, NC; grandfather, Venson Brown, of High Point NC; five loving aunts, Tracey Jackson, Bianka Jackson, Yolanda Brown, Nicole Webster, and Larissa Brown; two special cousins, Rikkel Jackson and Dy-Quanya Dunlap who were raised like a brother and sister as well as a host of the world’s greatest nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be given on Friday, September 8, 2023 at the High Point Theatre, 220 East Commerce Avenue, High Point, NC. The family will receive visitors and friends at the theatre from 11:30am to 12:30pm on Friday. The funeral service will began at 12:30pm. Burial will follow at Guil-Rand Memorial Park Cemetery.
