Obituary
Darlena Kay Barringer, 59 transitioned on Monday, June 20, 2022, at Novant Health in Thomasville.
Darlena was born on March 16, 1963, to the now late Willie J. Barringer and Hildred Ervin Barringer in Guilford County. She was a 1981 graduate of T. W. Andrews High School. During her studies, Darlena received several certifications. Among these are certification in basic computer skills from Davidson County Community College and certification as an administrative assistant from Guilford Technical Community College. Darlena loved God and was a faithful member of the Church of God of Prophecy in Lexington, North Carolina where she served as a Missionary leader, and soloist.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Daphne Barringer; and a brother, Jaycarnous Barringer.
Survivors left to cherish fond memories include a sister-in-law, Sarah G. Barringer; niece, Sheryl ; cousins, church family, and beloved friends.
A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, June 25, 2022 at the Chapel of Johnson and Sons Funeral Home, 206 Fourth Street, High Point, North Carolina. The service will began at 12 noon. Burial will follow at GuilRand Memorial Park Cemetery.
