Cynthia Denise (Harrison) Allen

Cynthia Denise Harrison Allen was born in High Point, NC on March 30, 1969 to Katherine Wright Matthews and Robert Lee Harrison, Sr. She attended High Point City schools and graduated from High Point Central High School in 1987. She attended University of North Carolina in Greensboro for a few years and graduated from Davidson County Community College with her associate degree in nursing in 1997. She received her master’s degree in business administration in 2020. She worked 25 years as nurse, charge nurse, nurse manager, and finally, chief nurse.

She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Lee Harrison, Sr., and stepfather, Zebedee Matthews, Sr.

Cynthia loved her family which consisted of her husband, Jeff Allen, and two wonderful children that she adored, Sydney Amya Allen and Christopher Travis Allen. She has three surviving sisters, Regina Harrison Tolbert (Greg, Sr.) of High Point, Karean Harrison Newsome (Terrance) of Winston-Salem, Ericka Harrison of Florida, two sister-in laws, Melissa Maxwell (Charlie) and Trude Allen both of Marshville, NC; 5 brothers:  Robert Lee Harrison, Jr (Hilda) of Winston-Salem, William Matthews, Dwayne Matthews, Zebedee Matthews, Jr., all from New Jersey, Larry Matthews (Sharon) of Florida, one brother-in-law, David Allen of Marshville, NC and two god sisters, Latecia Gates and Shemika Campbell. Cynthia also has a plethora of nieces and nephews that she loved greatly and one special great-nephew, Khyree. She also had a host of other special friends and coworkers.

She loved her Lord and Savior with all her heart, and she lived her life accordingly. She departed this world on May 4, 2022 to spend more time with Him.

We will miss her dearly, but she is now with the one whom she loved the most!

A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, May 14, 2022, at the Chapel of Johnson and Sons Funeral Home, 206 Fourth Street, High Point, NC.  The family will receive visitors at friends from 11:30 to 12 noon and the service will start at noon.  Burial will follow at Guil-Rand Memorial Park Cemetery.
