On Tuesday, August 20, 2024, Clady (Mock) Bronson loving Mother, Grandmother, Sister and, Aunt passed away at age 90 years old.
Clady was born in Shelby, NC on October 15,1933 to the late Eugene & Oveter Byers Mock. She attended Cleveland County and Guilford County Public Schools as a youth. After school, “Clay” as her family and friends affectionately called her, became a Private Resident Caretaker for The Elderly for Decades and an active member of First Emmanuel Baptist Church.
She loved spreading love to everyone , reading the Bible , Church , Cooking , The Color Blue and fellowshipping with family and friends. An avid music lover known for her quick wit, infectious smile and great food .
She was preceded in death by her husband, James R. Bronson Sr.; parents, Eugene & Oveter Byers Mock; son, James R. Bronson (Kathy); granddaughter, Morgan Jackson; brothers, Meek Byers (Geneva), and Benny Mock; mother-in-law, Gladys Smith.
She is survived by her son, Eugene Bronson (Debra); grandsons, James “Roy” Bronson III & Eugene Bronson Jr. (Tiffany); granddaughters, Tonya Jackson (Keith), LaToya McCullough (Corey), Catina and Laronya Williams; sister, Olivia Spencer (James), sister-in-law, Velva Mock; bonus daughters, Oveter Blair (Thorton), Veronica Spencer of the home and Denean Peace (William); special great nieces and nephews, Daniel (Turk), Brandon, Paris (Raymond), Erika, Bryce, Aidan and Olivia; great-grandchildren, Elijah, Bryant, and Emerie, and great-great granddaughter; Marlie Makaye; brother-in-law, Robert Bronson of New York, NY; and a host of several cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, August 24, 2024 at First Emmanuel Baptist Church, 833 Leonard Ave., High Point, NC. The family will receive visitors and friends at the church on Saturday from 12 noon to 12:30 and the service will begin at 12:30pm.
