Charlene Marie Hamlin

Charlene M. Hamlin, 72, transitioned July 7, 2024.  She was born on June 24, 1952, to Dorothy H. Holland and Charlie Beauchamp in High Point, North Carolina.

As a native, she attended Guilford County Public Schools.  At a young age she moved to Baltimore, Maryland and later to Dayton Ohio where is lived until she moved back to High Point in 2015.

Charlene had a passion for arts and crafts and drawing.  She loved helping people in any way she could, which included teaching crocheting to the elderly.  She visited nursing homes to have prayer and to read the bible to them.  She put together gift bags for the homeless and would go pass them out.  Doing activities with her great nieces and nephews was also a great joy.

In addition to her parents, Charlene was preceded in death by her brothers, Timothy Hamlin and Phillip Hamlin.

Left to cherish loving memories of her are her brothers, Eddie Hamlin, Steven Hamlin and David Spencer, of High Point; sisters, Sheila Embry of Kentucky, and Renita Williams of High Point; a special friend, Godfrey Monroe and a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives and beloved friends.

A Memorial Service In Loving memory will take place at 12 noon on Saturday, July 13, 2024, at the Chapel of Johnson and Sons Funeral Home, 206 Fourth St, High Point.
