A devoted father, skilled plumber, brother, uncle and friend passed away in his hometown of High Point, NC, on December 3, 2023, at the age of 64. Born to Henry and Janie Johnson, Calvin's life was marked by his unwavering faith, his love for his family, and his dedication to his craft. Calvin was a man of action, expressing his love and care through his deeds. His enthusiasm for life was infectious. He was a beacon of strength and resilience, always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need.
A proficient plumber, Calvin learned the trade from his father at a young age. He mastered the skill with such finesse that it seemed as natural to him as the back of his hand. His expertise not only provided for his family but also served his community, as he was always willing to assist others with their plumbing needs.
Calvin's faith was a cornerstone of his life. As a Jehovah's Witness, he attended the Kingdom Hall and put his trust in Jehovah. His faith guided him through life's challenges and brought him comfort and peace.Calvin was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Theresa, his parents, Henry and Janie Johnson, and his brothers, Dewitt Johnson and Johnny McArthur. He is survived by his loving daughters, Brianna, Norita, and Shont'e, his son-in-law Robert, his cherished grandson, Dane,a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other close loved ones.
Calvin's legacy will live on in the hearts of his family and all those whose lives he touched. His memory will serve as a reminder of the power of faith, the importance of family, and the value of service to others. As we mourn his loss, we also celebrate his life and the love he shared with us.
We are grateful for the time we had with our father and for the love, joy, and wisdom he brought into our lives. He will be deeply missed.
Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Fri., Dec. 15, 2023 at Johnson & Sons Funeral Home 206 Fourth St. The cortege will then leave the funeral home and proceed to the cemetery at Carolina Biblical Gardens, 5710 Riverdale Rd., Jamestown. The Zoom meeting ID:88481177914 Password: 020508
